Before You Jump

Please be familiar with this information before visiting Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park.

In order for you to get jumping smoothly, here are a few items you may need to know. We want nothing to get in the way of your fun or your overall experience at Sky Zone. So take a minute to look through this list and you'll be well on your way.

Waiver

Before jumping at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park there is a little bit of paperwork that is required, but we try to make it as simple as possible.

Everyone who is going to jump must have a signed official Sky Zone Sioux Falls release waiver.

Print Your Waiver Here

(or click the link above that says "Before You Jump; Get your waiver" to fill out an electronic waiver)

If a jumper is under the age of 18, the waiver MUST be signed by the minor's parent or legal guardian. Once a valid/legible Sky Zone waiver has been received and entered into our system, it becomes valid for 1 year.

Please note that prior visits to Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park cannot, unfortunately, ensure that your waiver will be on file. If you are unsure if your waiver is on file, please call us prior to your jump session and we can verify it or recommend you bring another waiver with you. Waivers in our online waiver queue may be purged after the waiver remains inactive for long period of time. If you are unsure if your waiver is on file, please contact us at (605)-553-9910 and we can verify your waiver is in the online queue or already on file.

Ages

Sky Zone is fun for just about any age, shape or physical ability. For our younger jumpers, our jump shoe sizes are available down to a youth size 10. Jumpers with sizes smaller than 10 are allowed to jump barefoot (no socks).

Session Times

Open jump sessions begin every 15 minutes during normal hours of operation. Walk-ins are welcome, but please keep in mind that there is a court capacity and most jump times do sell out. Pre-purchasing online tickets is strongly recommended. Please also note that 3-D Dodgeball, or specific court availability, cannot be guaranteed with admission.

Size Separation

Because Sky Zone attracts jumpers of just about every age and size, our court monitors reserve the right to move guests around to different courts or different sections of courts for safety, if necessary.

Ticket Information

Pre-purchased tickets for groups of 14 and under can be purchased online by clicking the 'Buy Tickets Online' link at the top of this page. Reservation fees apply ($1.00/person).

Capacity

Inside Sky Zone Sioux Falls, there are 3 trampoline playing fields, plus our FOAM ZONE (a real crowd favorite). Our total capacity is approximately 80 jumpers at any given time. This number is subject to change based on size and age of jumpers. Much like a movie theatre, once our capacity has been met, we must wait for a space to become available before selling more tickets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sign a waiver before I can jump Sky Zone?

Yes.  Every jumper needs to sign a liability waiver.  If you are under the age of 18 your parent or legal guardian must fill the waiver out for you but does not have to be present when you visit the facility.  Waivers can be downloaded on our website or picked up at the facility

Do I need to make reservations?

We do try to accept walk-in customers during all open hours of operation (subject to availability); however reservations are recommended for a confirmed number of jumpers and time. Frequently jump times will sell out due to reaching our maximum capacity on the courts. In the interest of the safety of our jumpers we are NOT permitted to oversell jump sessions even to squeeze in just one more ticket-- so please purchase your tickets in advance online to guarantee your spot. During peak jump times, we can sell out as far as 5+ hours in advance, especially when kids are off from school for a holiday. If you are interested in a birthday party package, please phone (605)-553-9910 in advance to your arrival. Birthday parties generally need at least a 2 week lead time, sometimes more as weekend parties can sell out even months in advance.

If I brought a waiver once do I need to bring one again?

Our general rule is that valid/legible waivers for walk-in customers are kept on file for one year. However, for a variety of reasons, this cannot be guaranteed. It's always a good idea, if there is any doubt, to bring a new one or phone ahead to see if your waiver remains valid.

What is the difference between a reservation and a birthday party?

A reservation is for jumping and Sky Zone activities only where as a birthday party is for jumping and a private room rental for cake and pizza

Is there an age or weight limit?

No, there is technically no age limit. We have jumpers as young as 18 months and as old as 80! Our motto is: "If you can walk, you can fly!" That said, our Open Jump ticket rates are the same for all ages, so if you have a jumper under the age of 6, you may want to check out our special Toddler Times available for a reduced ticket price.

Also, currently the weight maximum for each trampoline square is around 600 pounds. So, don't let weight be a deterrent! We are proud to advertise that our patented trampoline playing courts are perfect for just about everyone, regardless of size, age, height, and ability!

Can I bring my own food inside?

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not allow any outside food or drink. We do, however, have an awesome SKY CAFE that includes tons of great beverages and snacks to keep you full and hydrated! A $75 Room Fee may apply to Group Events wishing to use a party room to eat.

Do you offer anything for school field trips?

Absolutely. Give us a call at (605)-553-9910 to work out all the details, but we can certainly open up during the morning or afternoon to accommodate a large school trip! Pricing is the same as our group open jump discount (depending on the number of jumpers).

My printer doesn't work; can I still buy tickets online?

You bet! Just copy down your confirmation numbers that appear in the lower left corner of your tickets an we can look them up in the computer upon your arrival.

What are the Sky Zone rules?

HAVE FUN, but FLY SAFE while you are on the Sky Zone court - and in an effort to reduce the potential for injury, we ask that you become familiar with and abide by the rules below and, even more importantly, keep all your activities and movements within your own personal limitations and comfort level. DO NOT ATTEMPT anything that you are not capable of. Court monitors help ensure that rules and regulations are followed. Participants should not jump on a Sky Zone court without a court monitor present. In addition:

    • Everyone that enters the Sky Zone court must have completed a valid/signed Sky Zone waiver. Those under 18 must have it signed/completed by their parent or legal guardian.
    • You may not have anything in your mouth (gum, candy, etc.) on the Sky Zone court.
    • Empty your pockets entirely.
    • Do not sit or lie on the court. If you are tired and need to rest, you must exit the court.
    • No pushing, tackling, running, racing or horseplay of any kind.
    • Do not touch or hang on to any of the top pads on the court.
    • No double bouncing.
    • Single flips are permitted. No double flips, and do not flip over the pads.
    • No more than two flips in a row.
    • Flips and other tricks can be dangerous ... perform at your own risk.
    • You can bounce and flip off the sidewalls, but you must land on the first trampoline next to the wall you bounced off of. You must be in control of your body at all times.
    • Do not attempt anything outside of your personal limitations or abilities.
    • Jumpers are separated by size as best as possible. Be aware of those around you and jump with people that are of similar size.
    • Do not touch any part of the basketball backboard or netting.
    • Follow all facility rules, and please keep in mind that this is a listing of just some of our general rules. It is not an all-inclusive list, and rules are subject to change.
    • Failure to adhere to any of these, or other, rules at Sky Zone can/will result in the loss of your jump time.

We are always sitting: at the table, in the car, at a desk, and on the couch. That means we all need to start jumping more! Jumping on a trampoline will get your blood pumping, force you to take deep breaths, and will definitely make you break a sweat! Many people think that trampolines are just a backyard toy for kids, but there are studies that have confirmed the benefits of jumping on trampoline, for both kids and adults.

RESEARCH

"For similar levels of heart rate and oxygen consumption, the magnitude of the biomechanical stimuli is greater with jumping on a trampoline than with running." A report published by the Journal of Applied Physiology states.

What does that mean? It means that 10 minutes of bouncing on a trampoline provides the same level of cardiovascular health benefits as 33 minutes of running, which lead them to claim that"rebound exercise is the most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man."

The health benefits of trampolining were initially explored during WWII when the U.S. Navy found that pilots’ spatial awareness could be increased through the use of trampolines in training exercises. Then, NASA continued the practice of using trampolines to train to help astronauts cope with weightlessness and differing body positions in flight.

HIT THE GYM

We all know exercise is a key factor in reducing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Actually convincing yourself to exercise? That can be the difficult part. But at Indoor Trampoline Park, convincing yourself to exercise is like convincing yourself to have fun! Bouncing is exercise in disguise. It uses almost every muscle, specifically the stomach, arms and legs. Muscles are toned, fat is burned and metabolism is increased, making a trampoline a successful tool for weight loss and toning.

Exercise with the Whole Family

To promote cardiovascular health, young people need at least one and a half hours of intense physical activity per day. (School of Sports Science; Oslo, Norway)

Regular bouncing helps tone the body, especially the stomach, back, and legs. Core-stability muscles are consistently engaged to help enhance balance. This type of training helps to boost your family's metabolic rate and everyone's ability to burn fat and calories.

"Children and adolescents who are overweight are more likely to be overweight or obese as adults.” Overweight adults are at increased risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, some types of cancer, and gallbladder disease." states The National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention.

HEART AND CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH

Jumping against gravity strengthens all body systems and is considered one of the most beneficial aerobic exercises ever developed. It’s proven that cardiovascular activity increases your heart rate and pulse rate. That means jumping works the heart muscle. It also strengthens major muscle groups that help contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system.

Why? Because as you come down on the trampoline surface, you put greater gravitational pull (G force) on your muscles. Heart muscle fibers will get stronger. That means all of your muscles and muscle layers will grow stronger, too. With each bounce, sixty trillion cells in your body are continuously being strengthened.

Because your heart is pumping stronger, your blood circulation is better. Good circulation ensures that oxygen is pumped round your body more efficiently and that makes you feel healthier and more alert. Doctors sometimes even recommend trampoline exercise as a form of physical therapy after heart attack to help strengthen the muscle.

LOW IMPACT – GREAT FOR THE BONES AND JOINTS

Although bouncing provides intense training for our cardiovascular systems and muscles, it is a “low-impact” workout. This means the equipment (the spring) absorbs 80%

of the shock from the rebound. This shock absorber reduces the amount of shock absorbed by the bones and joints (like the knees and spine) and reduces the chances of injury. A repeated low impact exercise builds and strengthens the bones and muscles which results in toning, better balance, co-ordination and good posture. This is because your vertical acceleration and deceleration is soaked up by the trampoline field; whereas hard surfaces such as roads and treadmills do not have enough flexibility to do this.

Because the trampoline offers low impact activity, it can actually replace other forms of cardiovascular or aerobic activity without undue stress on the joints. This means that bouncing not only protects your joints, it exercises your muscles so you don’t have to go to the gym anymore! Jumping can even increase the strength in your joints, which can decrease or prevent arthritis pain.

Muscles are strengthened and lengthened, which increases flexibility.

Jumping on a trampoline can increase bone density as well. According to research by NASA, bouncing can also help reduce the risk of bone conditions such as fractures, brittle bones, and osteoporosis. The light impact when landing on the trampoline helps to strengthen the bones and improve bone density. In fact, NASA found that bouncing was able to help rebuild astronauts' bone mass after they returned from space, where they lose almost 15% muscle and bone mass.

BALANCE AND COORDINATION

Trampoline jumping improves your posture, co-ordination, balance, and reaction speeds.

Bouncing forces you to become more aware of your center of gravity to keep your balance. This constant strengthening of balance helps your balance while doing other activities too; which is why using trampolines in sports cross-training is ideal for athletes. The need to coordinate your arms and legs can even lead to increased hand-eye coordination.

Trampoline exercise is a great way to develop the skills that allow you to undertake a number of items requiring concentration at the same time: bouncing, balancing, maintaining the body's position, and anticipating the next action. This is proven to have a positive impact on bilateral motor skills, as well as allowing jumpers to control different muscles and limbs at the same time as one another.

MENTAL HEALTH

We all know that with childhood obesity on the rise, extra weight brings an increased risk of heart disease, bone and joint problems, sleep apnea, and juvenile diabetes. But what about social and psychological problems, such as poor self-esteem and depression? You'd be surprised at how integrating exercise with trampolines can help with conditions like these!

The physical benefits resulting from bouncing aren’t limited to only rejuvenating the body, but also refreshing the mind. When endorphins are stimulated, our bodies produce a mood enhancing natural chemical that produces a feeling of well-being in the body. Endorphins are stimulated during exercise, excitement, pain, spicy foods, love, and pleasure. Active exercise helps to overcome negativity and depression and produces a happier, more positive you. Jumping reduces stress levels and can even help to control addictions.

So not only does improved circulation pump clean oxygen into your brain making you feel more alert, but the endorphins released while exercising will make you feel happier, more positive, even more self-confident. But, added to this, the sheer fun of jumping up and down will make you smile, make you laugh, make you feel happy. It's impossible: you can't feel stressed when you're bouncing!

Autism

Tests have actually linked bouncing with positive benefits for children with autism. The sheer fun and sense of well being encourages vestibular system input, which controls movement and balance as well as awareness of body positioning. Bouncing also assists with motion feedback, how the body responds to movement through space and perception.

Jumping and balancing on a trampoline can help physical sensory integration with the body’s different systems. Getting brothers and sisters involved provides a huge social benefit, too.

DETOXIFICATION AND IMMUNE SYSTEM

“If the lymphatic system is circulating properly it is practically impossible to get sick.” Says Dr. Samuel West, a noted lecturer and author has stated that bouncing is the best way to circulate the lymphatics.

Ever hear of the lymphatic system? It provides nutrients to each and every cell and rids the body of wastes. The lymphatic system essentially is the detoxification system of the body. The lymph’s main job is to carrying away substances which cannot be removed by absorption directly into the blood.

When blood circulation is increased, the body releases energy and pumps more oxygen into the brain and other tissues. But unlike the circulatory system, the lymph system does not have a “heart” to pump itself around the body. It relies on gravity and body movement. So, bouncing on a trampoline stimulates the lymphatic system, which helps rid the body of toxins, trapped protein, bacteria, viruses, and other waste the cells cast off.

The G-Force at the top of the bounce is zero and the body becomes weightless for a fraction of a second. At the bottom of the bounce, the G-Force suddenly doubles over what is ordinary gravity on earth, and internal organs are put under pressure. Their cellular stimulation is increased accordingly so that waste materials within cells get squeezed out. The lymph carries the waste away to be disposed. The vertical use of acceleration, deceleration, and gravity provide ideal conditions for cleansing cells.

"Trampoline exercise is also good for your immune system, which helps keep your body's natural defenses high and reduces the chance of getting sick," says Dr. Morton Walker, in a published list of trampoline health benefits.

OTHER HEALTH BENEFITS

·  Lowers elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels

·  Tones up your glandular system, especially your thyroid glands

·  Increases activity of your red bone marrow in producing red blood cells

·  Improves your digestion

·  Promotes better sleep

IT'S CONVENIENT

Indoor Trampoline Park is right in here in Sioux Falls. You won't need to get to the gym and then the tennis courts, to the basketball court and then the track. You don't need to find a route for your run or bike ride... is Sioux Fall’s hottest new fitness program all under one roof and most importantly? It's a blast!

CONSULT A PHYSICIAN.  With any change in exercise, please consult your physician before taking part in a new regiment. However, the low-impact workout of bouncing makes it suitable for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and those undergoing therapy following an injury. A report published in the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation confirms this, stating that the "trampoline provides a convenient form of exercise with a major advantage being its apparent low level of trauma to the musculoskeletal system."
