The Operations-Events Manager will oversee all event bookings, event staff, and event operations, as well as oversee the operations of the entire park while working as the manager on duty. All activities shall be conducted under the direction of the General Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
First Aid/CPR certified
Previous management experience with young, part time staff
Ability to supervise, coach and train staff
Ability to work nights/weekends
Ability to enforce rules and regulations
Ability to handle money
Previous scheduling experience
Guest service and sales experience
Outgoing, friendly personality with attention to detail
Previous experience with children’s birthday parties
Responsibilities:
Manager on Duty shifts, open/close the park.
Supervise, hire and train event staff
Event sales and networking efforts to increase group sales and sales outreach
Ensure that all event inquiries are addressed within 24 hours
Ensure that all general email inquiries (non-event related) received through the website are addressed within 24 hours
Ensure that all birthday parties booked online are reviewed with the guest within 48 hours
Oversee all event bookings and ensure adherence to all booking and event policies
Oversee event processes and procedures and reevaluate, as needed
Follow up with all events within 3 days to get feedback; address any training issues that come up in the replies
Main point person to resolve Guest Service concerns that come thru via email (escalated issues go to the GM)
Make corporate/church/school contacts and reach out to them to bring in outside group events
Donation request fulfillment and tracking
Oversee summer SkyCamp program-schedules, activities, supplies, budget, staff training
Run Event Team specific meetings, including agenda and sign in sheet
Ensure party supplies (plates, cups, napkins, favors) are being ordered/maintained properly by the Operations Manager-Inventory
Manage social media pages
Be able to perform all team member functions
Document all witnessed accidents/incidents properly and timely and ensure staff is doing the same
Enforce all safety rules and waiver policy
Assist in implementing emergency procedures
Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, manager meetings and in-service meetings and training sessions
Resolve guest service issues and provide excellent guest service
Assist in the hiring, training and evaluation of non-event staff
Other management duties as assigned
