Teacher of the Month
How long have you been a teacher? This is my first full year as a teacher.
How long have you been at your current school and what grade do you teach? I was a long-term sub for the second half of the 22-23 school year at Myrtle Beach Middle School for 6th grade ELA. This is my first full year teaching 6th grade ELA.
What led you into teaching and what continues to motivate you? What led me into teaching was working at summer camps and coaching. I loved being around the kids. I continue to be motivated by helping my students reach their goals.
What was your reaction to winning the award? I was very thankful and grateful that people took the time to vote for me.
What was the reaction of your class? My class was super excited and couldn’t wait to tell me that they voted for me.
Have you been to Sky Zone before? If so, what was your experience like? I have been to Sky Zone and enjoy myself every time!
What do you find most rewarding about being a teacher? The most rewarding thing about being a teacher is seeing my student’s growth from beginning of the year to the end.
Outside of the classroom, what are some of your interests? Playing and coaching basketball, working out, video games and spending time with friends and family.
