Teacher of the Month
How long have you been a teacher? 2 Years as a Long-term sub. I am in my second year as a full-time teacher.
How long have you been at your current school and what grade do you teach? I am in my 4th year at Myrtle Beach Middle School and I currently teach 6th grade.
What led you into teaching and what continues to motivate you?I want to make an impact in the community
What was your reaction to winning the award? I was completely surprised.
What was the reaction of your class? They were happy, especially when I gave them the jump cards.
Have you been to Sky Zone before? If so, what was your experience like? Yes, with my own children. It was fun.
What do you find most rewarding about being a teacher? I really like learning for myself. But I really like it when kids have that aha moment when they find out about something that is interesting to them.
Outside of the classroom, what are some of your interests? I go to Church and spend time with family.
